Will never shop here ever again. I will drive 30 minutes out of my way to avoid giving the old, disrespectful owner any money. Bought a Collins 10 lbs sledge from here and it broke on the first miss. Took it back to exchange and the miserable old man said "you can't miss" and wouldn't exchange it. Brand new stickers still on the sledge and this greedy old man has the nerve to tell me I can't miss a single swing with a 10lbs sledge. I didn't say a word and just walked out. Never again will I step foot in that terribly run store. I'd rather drive to Gainesville and spend my money there.
It seems like I'm in there weekly picking up something for a project in my home or garden. The prices are reasonable and they have a good selection for a small town store. Most of the staff, most of the time, have been pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. Steve definitely gets a 5 star rating. With the others it seems to depend on the day.
I buy everything I can from ACE. The prices are similar and often less than the superstores; but with much better service. The staff is helpful and courteous. The business and the individuals who work there have gone out of their way to help me out on many occasions.
Lots of open stock hardware, and excellent selection of hand tools and small power tools. Small camping/outdoor area.
